I witness regularly, but every time I do, I have to battle my fears. Here are some tips that will help you to conquer them:
1) Compassion. Just think of the fate of the lost. Go to the Book of Revelation and read chapter 19. There you have a description of that great and terrible day when the Book of Life will be open. “And if anyone’s name…”
Think of those you know that aren’t saved–have compassion for them.
Compassion will help you to put your fear in perspective and do something to reach the lost.
If I see that there is a boy swimming and a shark approaching from behind, I will do everything that I can to warn him and save him. Compassion will sallow my pride, my reputation and comfort.
Ask the Lord to give you a drop of the compassion he has for humanity. That will be more than enough. Compassion will burn in your heart and will push you forward to conquer your fears and share your faith.
